Metro Prayer for July 30, 2010

The Salvation Army sponsors a special back-to-school program to help provide school supplies to needy children. Many of these children dread the first day when they arrive empty handed. Please pray that this campaign will collect enough money to help every child that needs it. “He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap…” Psalm 113:7 (NASB)

Please pray for the Christian newspaper, The Heartland Gatekeeper. It is a monthly newsletter designed to promote unity in the body of Christ by serving as a source of communication, information, and networking and to encourage spiritual growth through ministry opportunities. Pray that the Gatekeeper will continue to grow as a tool of communication and unity within the body of Christ in the Heartland, and that more of those who have yet to know Jesus will be touched through this publication. Also pray that the Lord would provide more distribution sites and more sponsors and business who will help with the costs publishing the paper each month. “One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts. They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds.” Ps. 145:4-6 (NIV)

Preparing the Way of Revival in Our City:
Pray each of us will prepare the way of the Lord in our own hearts, the highway of holiness, the way of purification, praise, and prayer. “A voice of one calling: "In the desert prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God.” Isaiah 40:3
